While upgrading the wordpress from the wordpress admin section the following error is occur, the permission as well as ownership is correct but still following error is occur.
Could not create directory.: /wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-3.tmp/wordpress
Similarly while upgrade the wordpress plugin from wordpress admin section the following error is occur.
To resolve the “Could not create directory” error message login in to the wordpress admin section and disable the “AskApache Password Protect” plugin and now try to upgrade the wordpress as well as plugin, it will work without any problem now and once upgrade completed, enable the “AskApache Password Protect” plugin.
